Massage

Deep Relief, Lasting Results

This bodywork session is customized to you and your specific requests and needs!

Eric uses a combination of Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage,  Tuina, and Gua sha.

  • A Swedish massage is designed to relax the entire body by rubbing the muscles in long, gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. The benefits of Swedish massage go beyond relaxation. It can help increase the level of oxygen in the blood and improve circulation and flexibility.

  • Deep tissue massage therapy is similar to Swedish massage but with a deep tissue massage, your therapist applies slow, firm pressure to release muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones, and joints).

  • Tui na refers to a wide range of Traditional Chinese Medicine therapeutic massage and bodywork. Tui na is not generally used for pleasure and relaxation, but rather as a treatment to address specific patterns of disharmony.

  • Gua sha is a traditional Chinese healing method in which a trained professional uses a smooth-edged tool to scrape your skin with short or long strokes to stimulate microcirculation of the soft tissue, which increases blood flow.

Massage

Quick Recovery, Optimal Performance

This 90 min. session is a customized FULL BODY treatment with a special focus on your specific athletic needs.

Therapeutic sports massage helps athletes prepare their bodies for optimal performance and aid in quick recovery. Many elite athletes consider sports massage an essential part of their training and recovery routine. If you’re a novice athlete, a pre-event sports massage can make a better, less-painful event for you. If you’re a “weekend warrior”, a regular therapeutic sports massage may be just what you need to concentrate on a specific problem (sports or otherwise), or a restricted range of motion.

In a Sports Massage, Eric uses:

  • Swedish Massage

  • Deep Tissue Massage

  • Thai Massage

  • Tuina

  • Cupping

Massage foot 2_edited.jpg

Foot Reflexology

Pinpointed Pressure, Whole Body Effects

In foot reflexology, pressure is applied to specific reflex points on the foot. These points correspond to organs and areas of the body. The treatment is said to induce a healing response, even alleviating some ailments.

Kneading the ball of the foot, pulling on the toes, tracing around the heel, and pushing into the arch are just a few of the movements you’ll experience during a treatment.

This targeted repeated pressure and manipulation of nerve endings on the feet helps to cleanse the body of toxins, boost the immune system, increase circulation, balance energy, and promote healing.

Cupping

Cupping Marks = Fast Relief

Cupping is typically used for people with sore or painful muscles that could benefit from the myofascial release that cupping provides. It can also be used for facial techniques and cellulite reduction.

During a cupping appointment, cups will be applied to your skin and you will feel the pressure from the cups pulling your skin into the cups. The pressure that the cups create draws blood to the affected area, increasing your blood flow overall.

The increased blood flow typically relieves muscle tension, improves circulation, and reduces inflammation.

Cupping is followed up with Tuina (Chinese medical massage) to further relax the muscles.

A cupping appointment can be booked alone for 30 or 60 minutes. or it can be added to a 60-minute acupuncture session.

Pricing

Add on Cupping to an Acupuncture session: $45

30 min. Cupping Appointment: $60

Herbal Therapy

Natural Remedies, Daily Care

Chinese herbal medicine is an essential part of traditional Chinese medicine. Used in China for many centuries, it is one of the most effective treatments for some acute and chronic conditions.

Unlike synthetic Western pharmaceutical prescriptions, Chinese herbal formulas are made from natural substances and rarely elicit side effects. All herbal prescriptions are thoroughly cross-checked utilizing the Natural Medicines Database against any other medicines or supplements you are taking.

Herbal formulas are designed to strengthen and support your body, regulate the function of your internal organs, or to clear your body of conditions such as when you are having a cold or experiencing fever or pain.

The formula prescribed by your practitioner is specific to your personal constitution.  Herbal therapy is especially helpful because it can be done in your home or on the go.

You can have the care you need every day!

Pricing

*SPECIAL* Initial Herbal Consultation: $99 (regular price $149)
